According to Linda Farmer over on tanglepatterns.com, "Umble" has been in Rick and Maria Roberts' portfolio of patterns for maybe a decade. But they have only just now released the instructions.
So the Diva at http://iamthedivaczt.blogspot.com/ jumped at the earliest opportunity and made it a challenge. She said "The challenge this week is to try out the New-Old tangle: Umble! You can do a monotangle or just a regular old tile with umble somewhere on the premises."
I liked Umble. I worked around with it off and on all day today before committing a tile to it. It could use some more work, but if I waited until I really have it nailed, I'll never get any challenges done.
I started with String 098 (tanglepatterns.com). I used 2 other Zentangle(r) patterns, 'Nzepple and Diva Dance, as well as Garlic Cloves by Jacquelien Bredenoord.
Thanks dear Diva!
