I'm so glad the Diva and her family had a great summer. Her first post-vacation challenge is to use a new pattern by the Thomas', Zenith (Zentangle (r)). Go here to read about some of her summer events and learn more about the challenge.
Well, I'm not a big fan of Zenith. It reminds me of BWIYA by Anne Marks. I just don't like the look of all those auras...or maybe I just don't like how badly I draw auras. But what's a challenge for but to push you out of your comfort zone. I played around all day trying to soften up Zenith before putting pen to paper.
I started with the newest string on Linda Farmer's tanglepatterns.com, # 172 by Anya Lothrop. I morphed one side of Zenith into Raffz by Vikki Howard and added Copada by Margaret Bremner, Cadent Z(r) and Heartfully by Helen Williams.
Lots and lots of shading here.
It's a little less flowery than I've been doing lately. I still managed to work in Heartfully, though!
Welcome back Darling Diva. Thanks for the great challenge.
