SPIRAL TUTORIAL FOR ANN
Here is first step I took: drew a curly q and then drew a line from the center curl to the end to make a point. It can be skinny or fat. It can come to a point, or be curly or fringy at the end. Doesn't make any difference.
I would do this in pencil until you decide on the next few steps.

Then I added triangles inside the spiral. No rules. I just anchored them all to the center. But that was just me.
Then I thought it would look better with the points of the triangle extending outside the spiral. If you had drawn your spiral w/ink, you'd have to fill in those triangles with something solid otherwise the lines would show. Which is what I ended up doing.
But I didn't like it open, so I closed it off. And here is how I finished it
OK - now on the b/w spiral you asked me about in the first place. Here are "strings" for that one. The first one MIGHT work out OK because it is curlier in the center.
But I actually added an internal line like so:

Finished fun spirals. I promise to relax and have more fun with these.
