My inspiration is a tile I saw over at Facebook's Square One Group several months ago. The focus at that time was Bunzo. Someone did a terrific Bunzo and filled in the negative spaces with embossed Printemps. I had never conceived of Bunzo as being dimensional before. I was just blown away when it looked like I was looking down into Bunzo. I've been wanting to do it myself, but never got around to it. This challenge really fit the bill. I selected Umble (Z (r)) because it is one pattern that really does invite you to look down deep into layers. I thought the use of the embossed Printemps wouldn't interfere with the emphasis on white space.
I tried to search the Square One Facebook page to find out the artist's name to give him/her credit, but I couldn't get back that far. Sorry!
Anyway -- I love how it turned out.
Check out the Diva challenge every week. And thanks Sandy for filling in this week. This was great fun.
