Suzy Mosh's That's New to Me Tangle Challenge this week is to use at least one pattern that's new to me and begins with the letter L. And, since L is a recent repeat, she included an artist focus of J. J. LaBarbera.
I love LaBarbera's patterns. You can find all of them at her blog. I recently "found" her Verve pattern and have been crazy about it ever since. I had decided to use it from the beginning. But when I chose String 143 (tanglepatterns.com) by Beth Snoderly and my "new" L pattern (Lacy by molussus), I changed my mind about Verve. Instead, I chose LaBarbera's Shimono.
Then I added footlites by Carole Ohl and Sand Swirl by Karry Heun. What to use in the remaining section? Then it hit me...Verve would make a nice complement to Sand Swirl on the other side of the tile. So Verve it is, after all!
I like how this turned out. Thanks Suzy M again for all your hard work and thoughtfulness on these challenges.
