Cheryl over at Cheryl's Artful Creations was away for a few weeks healing up from some painful orthopedic fractures. She came back last week with a challenge to use the letter A as the string and incorporate some patterns that begin with A. I missed that one, but I'm jumping in with this week's challenge -- B.
I used negative space for the letter B and surrounded it with B'Twined by Pegi Schargel. I wasn't sure I'd like B'Twined at first, but I knew the variation I would use allowed for enough black space to let the negative space stand out. B'Twined turned out to be very forgiving. Even where I got really wonky with it, it ended up looking pretty cool. I'll use it again and work on getting my grid lines a little more uniform or graduate them in size, or just go wavy with them all. NOTE TO SELF: Quit making your grids so darned small! Breathe a little!!!
Welcome back Cheryl. Hope your bones are knitting themselves back together
