Did I ever mention that I hate Shard??? It was one of the first patterns that I tried that I eventually gave up on. I love other patterns by Carol Ohl, but I not only had a hard time doing it right, I just thought it was ugly even if done perfectly.
When I read Susan Mosh's Tangle Me 3 challenge was to tangle a piece using at least 3 variations of Shard and ONLY Shard, I felt faint. But, ever hopeful, I thought since my skills had come a long long way since I first attempted Shard, maybe I'd see better results.
I drew Shard large, I drew it small. I drew straight Shards and curvy ones. I contained them in a grid. I set them free. The end result? Meh. I will say they are the best Shards I've ever drawn, but...meh.
Oh, and thanks Susan...grrrrrr
